Highly recommend! Great food, service and atmosphere. Love the history and memorabilia on the walls. Ask for Ryan!
Went to a Ruby Slipper for breakfast and were told they had a two hour wait so we wandered over and found the Picayune. It was great! The service was wonderful, French Press coffee great and the food was good. I had a poached egg on seafood cake with biscuit and Hollandaise.
The food was amazing and the staff was very friendly! We went during happy hour and had the chicken pesto naan flat and it was delicious. Happy hour prices are the best in the city. Definitely a must visit.
Had an awesome time here! Came for dinner during happy hour & it was incredible! Kinda a modern trendy feel to the whole place, and the menu is really above par. We had pork from the tandoori oven and a chicken pesto flatbread - both were so delicious, and the sides were paired perfectly! Even without happy hour specials, everything is very reasonably priced. The staff are friendly and super professional, which definitely elevated our experience. Would definitely recommend giving this place a try!
As with some of the other reviews it is nice and low key. Not packed but enough patrons to be entertained. Service was on point and food was just as good! Mainly local beers on tap which is always a plus in my book! Atmosphere is pleasant and warm (at least at the bar) and noise level allows for normal conversation. Really nothing I can think of I had any issues with! Great experience!
Good hummus, but double check got to go order to make sure everything is in there before you leave. Def check out if in town.
This place is a modern, industrial looking gastropub. Clean and caring staff. We went with 7 of us on a busy Thursday evening. Food was outstanding in taste and high quality in freshness. Great fries and steak gyros. Yummy hummus and naan bread. Excellent salads, especially the arugula salad with apples. Wild mushroom flatbread was loved by all. Service from server and kitchen was disorganized and perhaps overwhelmed by the volume of unexpected business on this night and therefore had some major hiccups. Drink menu looked awesome but couldn't partake.
Horrible. Stay away. They were out of oysters. SERIOUSLY?? They were also out of half the other staff on the menu. Only vegetarian option sounded disgusting: bell pepper stuffed with steamed vegetables. I ordered tofu with side dishes: I got the smallest, most pathetic portion of tofu. Herbed couscous with no herbs. Oversalted mushrooms. Measly 3 dollar discount after speaking to the manager, so charged 12 dollars for a baby meal. How did this place get 4.9 stars???
Great happy hour specials. Half off breads. Cheap drinks. Try the pulled pork naan with tofu substitute. Tasty!
Hands down the best food. Industrial look with a warm feel. Priced just right, wear stretchy pants, you'll want you try it all!
Good food and friendly service. We ate the local menu - Picayune chicken and Carbonara Cajun. Both were delicious but Carbonara Cajun was certainly tastier. The cocktail was strong and pretty good too.
Excellent service, good menu options, and delicious drinks. Bar seating is available as well as tables and outdoor seating. Happy Hour runs from 3-7.
Fantastic decor and very well flavored food and exotic drinks. It's a refreshing new take on local and international flavors. A great place to stop for lunch or dinner.
Life is now better having eaten here. Deep fried Peanut butter sandwich is everything.
Absolutely fantastic accommodations. Centrally located, spacious, and nicely appointed.
Nice upscale sports bar with chillax atmosphere. Excellent friendly service, great happy hour and good food!
I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant/bar. We visited this establishment several times during our vacation and never had a bad meal or experience. The atmosphere it a great mix of modern urban and the history of the local newspaper The Daily Picayune. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and willing to share their suggestions for the best local spots to visit during your stay. Very good local beer selection available. Definitely a go to spot if your visiting the area.
Great place with great food and beer. Very low key compared to most other places around New Orleans. Really enjoyed coming to watch some football before our game started. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that can't brave the craziness of Bourbon street
My fiance and I were heartbroken to discover that The Ruby Slipper had a line down the block. We were hungry and tired. Luckily, this charming gastropub down the street offered us shelter from the storm. The food was incredible, the staff were friendly, especially AJ, the in house sax player/waiter, and the mimosas flowed. I would point anyone coming down to the big easy to Picayune Social House if you love great food and even better service. I give it 5 hangovers out of 5.
This place is the bomb. Awesome staff, lovely drinks, and the food is literally to die for. Everyone is at the top of their game here, and no matter how busy they are, they always make time to chat with their guests and create a really personal feel. I'm a local, and this is my favorite place to hang out and take a load off.
Best drink specials near the French Quarter. Top shelf drink specials and amazing food! So much better than the cheap stuff on bourbon st.
Amazing food with a great Mediterranean influence. Cocktails were the best I've had. "Happier Hour" with half priced apps and $6 cocktails made it a great bargain. Service was phenomenal.
One of my favorite places now that we've come across it. The Cajun carbonara is simply amazing! Will be must stop Everytime we visit, which thankfully should be a lot! Food is fantastic as are the staff, drinks and atmosphere! Worth your time!
Bailey is the best Bartender. She's a sweetie pie! Good specials and strong drinks.
This place is awesome! The food was great and the atmosphere was pretty chill. The owner also works the bar and she ensures you're enjoying your meal and time in her establishment. I will be coming back to this place again!
Great food and drinks with an amazing staff. It's a fantastic spot for locals. 12/10 would recommend!
Great service and the flat breads and drinks were delicious will be back next time im inn new orleans
Great service. Food was brought to the table fresh, hot and fast. 🍺 Was cold and mug was frosty. Atmosphere has good vibe
We seated ourselves. Someone brought us a menu. We sat for at least 15 minutes watching the waitress walk by time after time without saying a word to us. We left.
So, so, so good! The curry fries and poached egg salad was to die for! I sat at the bar for a quick bite for lunch. Service was fast and friendly in an overall really cool spot. I'll definitely be back the next time I travel thru.
This place has quite a few Vegetarian options.. Tofu, Panneer, black bean burger, Curry fries, Hummus and so much more.. You ask the Chef (Chris) and he'll go you up with some.. Drinks are amazing.. Try the "Original Sin" or the "Raspberry Caipiranha"and you'll love it.. Alex the bar tender.. She's amazing and very courteous and friendly..
Excellent flavors. My husband loved his blackened snapper on crab cakes. I had the chicken on gyro which was delicious as well.
The food is very good and adds some much needed cuisine diversity to the area. Service was friendly and attentive. The only down side is the ambiance. It's a sprawling room of tables with no sense of character. Feels like it could use a wall of booths or something to add some interest.
Cute spot right off Canal Street with a huge bar---great spot for happy hour & to catch the game. The whiskey chicken sandwich is off the chain, as are the drinks! Ask Ari to make you one of his cocktail concoctions and you won't be disappointed!
I like this place. Modern while tipping the hat to old New Orleans. Drink service excellent. Servers corrected food order problem with no fuss.
Excellent food, beer, and service. The bartender Bailey was incredibly friendly. Definitely go!*Addendum*We followed up our visit to find that our experience was not a one time thing. We were welcomed back every time as if we had been coming for years. Every bartender we dealt with was exceptional and the general manager took time to come speak with us. We will miss this place when we head home.
Waiter got our appetizers but completely forgot to put in our orders. After 30 mins of waiting he came asking if we wanted our checks. When we told him we don’t have our food yet, he said he forgot to put it in and never apologized. Horrible Service!
Maybe, if we were in Springfield, Illinois or Provo, Utah, this would be a special place. But we're in New Orleans, and the standards for food and drink here are quite a bit higher. Between food and drink, food definitely comes out ahead. The Black and White BLT was pretty good, but that was more due to portion size (enormous) than it was seasoning or skill. The fried potatoes were right on time, however. Unfortunately, the drinks were dismal. Neither the house recipes, skill of the bartender, nor the spirits selection were anything other than mediocre. Example: bartender tossing an Old Fashioned, open vermouth left on the shelf. To top things off, the bartender was apathetic and sullen. If I had some friends that insisted on going here, I would tag along, but I doubt that I'll go again of my own accord.
Became my new best bar and eatery. Interesting storied bldg. Very close to LA Quinta dwntwn.
Happy Hour here is the happiest of all. Great drinks at fantastic prices. The food is good. The Mac and cheese is so amazing and cheesy. The whiskey drink with candied pecans and oranges is top notch!
Ate here a couple times and everyone enjoyed It! Absolutely loved the sirloin with mushroom sauce!
Good food, relaxed atmosphere
You have to try the Black and White BLT. The BEST fish sandwich I've ever had. Great service. Wonderful staff. A definite must try.
Really cool spot that I believe has only been around for 2 years now. It’s got great burgers and drinks. My only gripe is they never cook the fries long enough! Limp fries that are kinda greasy and heavily seasoned, so you have to request that they fry them crispy. Other than that it’s a CBD favorite and the service is usually quick and friendly.
London style Indian Pub food. Excellent tikka masala sauce. Go for the curry fries, but don't use your fingers!!! Very good beer selection.
Friendly staff great drinks. I will be coming back.
This restaurant was right around the corner from our hotel and it was a great find! Our Original Sin cocktail was delicious and the Chicken Picayune was fantastic!
Wonderful staff! Absolutely love the bartenders especially Jesse. The management are top notch! Great drinks. Food is amazing please and I mean please show up on the happy hour you will not be disappointed!
Good bar/grill. Friendly staff. Seem to specialize in naan flats and stacks. sports on the tube, seating for decent size groups. Wrap around bar. IPA.
Wandered in out of the cold. As travelers found this to be homey but hip. Good service great food. Even sitting by the kitchen was good.
